Quality Manager (France) Aluminium Foundry – Automotive.

Seeking a Foundry Quality Manager skilled in the application of international automotive and other standards (ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, ISO 9004, ISO 17025) in a foundry and casting environment. 

It will be essential to have technical quality skills relating to the supply of high volume manufactured castings to the automotive industry.

Experience required will include the management and improvement of the quality management systems and its processes, internal auditing, training of personnel, customer contact.

It is preferred for candidates to have had several years experience in aluminium HPDC foundry.

Candidates should be fluent in English and ideally also with the German language.

Salary package will be circa 40K Euros

Machining Manager (France) Aluminium Foundry – Automotive.

 A Machining Manager is required to manage a large machining operation at an ultramodern foundry based in France. It has conventional and automated machining lines as part of the assembly and production capacities enabling it to manufacture 400,000 gearboxes for automotive industry per year.

You must have experience of managing a large, high volume output machining operation, particularly from the aluminium HPDC foundry industry. 

You should be fluent in the French language. English will also be advantageous.

Salary package will be circa 40K Euros

Foundry Plant Manager (China)


Senior Plant Manager required with excellent technical and production knowledge of aluminium HPDC process.

You must have had experience of managing a similar foundry operation in China with 50 + personnel for a minimum of 5 years.

The role will have managerial responsibility for the day to day operation of the foundry which also includes a large machining operation.

The foundry is part of an international Group of companies and is a high volume production facility producing components for the automotive industry.

You must have an excellent command of the English language. Additional languages such as French and local Chinese would be of interest.

Salary will be circa 75K Euros plus an attractive, relocation and bonus package and is subject to candidate experience.

Business Development Manager Aluminium castings - (Germany) Automotive

 Seeking an experienced Business Development/Sales Manager with high volume aluminium HPDC experience. The position will be based in Germany although frequent travel to northern Europe and Scandinavia will be also a major part of the responsibility of the job. Candidates should also have an excellent technical knowledge of aluminium HPDC processes.

Candidates should have at least 5 years experience of working in a foundry sales environment with particularly knowledge of supplying to the automotive industry.

You should be fluent with the German and English languages. French language would also be beneficial.

Salary package, subject to experience, will be circa 60K Euros negotiable plus company car and sales bonus.

Manufacturing Engineer Foundry Operations and Utilities (New Zealand)

Circa upto 100,00NZD (relocation package.) 

Our client has a new site for the purpose of relocating and centralising production facilities, processes, machinery, plant, equipment and personnel to a new purpose-built facility. 

The Manufacturing Engineer – Foundry Operations & Utilities will be responsible for the end to end development and implementation of process, plant and documentation associated with this area of operations. Working closely with the existing foundry team, he/she will embrace the manufacturing and facilities objectives that relate to foundry operations and utilities (including but not limited to HVAC, power usage and process waste requirements).

It is anticipated that the new factory construction project will take approximately 4 years, during which principle activities will include:

• Research new foundry equipment suppliers and detail all relevant equipment for a turnkey installation. 

• Design and layout of plant to facilitate the lean manufacture of existing and new products including development of new manufacturing processes.

• Review supplier or design build for the installation and commissioning to meet the current and forecast business requirements

• Managing the installation, commissioning and production and technical sign – off of the foundry equipment

• Training of staff both operational, engineering and maintenance post commissioning

• Ensuring that equipment and utilities are fully compliant to the relevant standards either with the local or regional authorities including but not limited to OH&S, HSNO, BWOF

The Manufacturing Engineer – Foundry Operations and Utilities will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of raw materials and end use components for future requirements. Together with the existing foundry team, he/she will provide full technical support to foundry manufacturing areas regarding plant and process issues. Whilst their focus will be on the new plant, they may be involved with other project work within the foundry engineering team.

Applicants MUST have the following qualifications and experience.

Degree Qualified in Engineering. This is a non negotiable requirement for this role as it involves in depth understanding of complex processes.

10 years minimum post qualification experience in medium to heavy Mechanical Product Manufacturing Environment.

Good level of competency in Solidworks and Autocad or similar front line CAD packages.

Proven track record in Managing Engineering Projects in for example Construction Projects and Plant and Equipment Projects in the field of Casting, Machining and Assembly.

Can clearly demonstrate success in delivery of Projects to plan and keeping within cost estimates.

Ability to manage contractors and achieve high standards of safety.

Must be able to demonstrate excellent English written and verbal communication at all levels.

Resilient and able to adopt established Lean manufacturing processes and systems.

Experience in Mechanical Plant design and demonstrate innovation in design solutions and ideas.

Must possess Good Teamwork Skills and be able to Motivate and Lead from the front.

HPDC Process Engineers (France, Hungary, Germany & Portugal) Aluminium Foundry

Our client is a major European Group leader in High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) for the automotive market with a turnover of approx 340 Million Euros. They have 12 Production sites worldwide including France, Germany and Portugal.

We are currently seeking candidates with specialised technical skills in HPDC foundry to support the group’s international product and market development.

DFR 687/1: International HPDC Process Engineer: 

This appointment will based in France but will be involved with national and international group company site visits.

Salary Package: upto circa 45,000 Euros , subject to experience, plus company car.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience in process control in an aluminium high pressure die casting facility producing components, ideally for the automotive industry.

Experience should also include the following:-

- HPDC process control in production of aluminium cast products particularly for the automotive industry. (injection moulds/machines/quality/defects)

- FANUC robot knowledge

- Development and mould tests

- New industrialisation projects

- Comprehension and implementation of manufacturing procedures

- Process improvement for presses and cutting tools.

It will be expected that the candidate will be considered the technical expert and have the ability to train personnel and teams.

You must be able to speak and write in the English language. It would be advantageous if you are also able to speak French.
